Do You Hear The People Sing?

Even when I haven't see many musical movies, I consider myself a big fan of that genre. I love "Chicago", "The Phantom of The Opera", "Rent", and many others. But, my favoutire, by far, is "Les Miserabes" from the director Tom Hooper.
The first time I saw the movie, I was fifteen years old, I was at the cinema with my brother and my father. They got bored beacause they didn't knew it was a musical, but I was very excited. I loved the trama, the songs and everything.
Maybe the movie sounds familiar by the book, that's because the movie is a  small abstract of the book. If you don't read the book yet, I'll tell you a little about the story, but you have to know that the movie isn't the best representation of the book.
Is 1815, and after the "French Revolution", is another king on the throne, and, like every dynasty, they've only preocupated on their own bussines and not of the people. So, in that context, some students want to make another revolution for their people, even when they are bourgeoisie, but there are some details. The characters develop interesting stories, about love, law,  Christianity, poverty and another exciting things!
Also, the songs make possible that the stories been related beatifully. The ending song is, in my opinion, a daydream. And the perform of I dreamed a dream by Anne Hathaway is amazing too!
